Kitten Neutering Database

If you’ve made a new addition to your family by getting a kitten, you’ll need to make sure you’re not going to land yourself with a whole litter of kittens. Often, cats are neutered too late in life which unfortunately contributes to the number of unwanted cats in the UK.

If you don’t want to find yourself with extra cats and extra costs, we recommend that your pet cat is neutered at four months of age or younger. It is important that the procedure is done before the cat begins puberty, preventing any unplanned pregnancies.

Cats Protection developed the Kitten Neutering Vet Database to help you find your nearest practice to neuter your kitten and join us in our objective to limit the number of unwanted cats in the UK.

There are 900 practices across the UK that have indicated to us that they are happy to neuter cats up to or around 4 months of age, simply enter your postcode into the finder to discover a vets nearest to you.
